Pros

Schedule is not controlled, Lots of content to learn from.

Cons

It is so difficult to work across different organizations where all of those work in silos. Colaboration is hard to find and teams focus on their own work and goals. Lots of pressure to resolve issues that you dont even own. Support people are not well trained and culture is quantity over quality.

Pros

Overall, I had a great experience working at Amazon, with a positive work environment in first 4 years that fostered both personal and professional growth. I had the opportunity to work with inspiring leaders, gaining valuable expertise and advancing my career. Amazon’s flexibility during COVID-19 was particularly appreciated, allowing for a balanced and supportive work experience during challenging times.

Cons

-- Recent strict 5-day RTO policy limits flexibility, affecting work-life balance and morale. -- Lack of encouragement for innovation stifles creativity and limits growth opportunities. -- Leadership’s preference for the status quo creates a stagnant culture, limiting fresh ideas and progress. -- Performance reviews rely more on managerial judgment than objective criteria, leading to potential bias and inconsistency in evaluations. -- Leadership has shifted the past year from an empathetic to an overly directive style, creating a less supportive environment and impacting team morale. --Endless, unproductive meetings with little to no actionable outcomes waste time and detract from meaningful work.
