Pros

Growth and development oriented; rich with opportunities; plenty of resources; good compensation; strong focus on culture and ID&E; lots of writing (so you must either enjoy or adapt to doing that)

Cons

At times, too many resources to sift through; it can be difficult to know where to go for things

Pros

It’s the earth’s best company …in my mind but Amazon say they strive to be the best! Some pros : 1. Great recruitment process 2. Fantastic and structured onboarding process 3. Excellent bar raising welcoming colleagues 4. Innovative and meaningful work 5 . You have ample opportunities to make an impact 6. Lots to learn so you will feel energised if you have a growth mentality 7. Very flexible 8. Leadership principles , tenets and mental models provide a great framework for employees to operate in. 9. I like the culture , everyone I have met is down to earth and not pretentious 10. The offices are cool and the casual dress sense is amazing . You feel at “home” in the office !!

Cons

None that I can think of.

Pros

Salary is good. Work from home seems to be becoming the norm, nobody is returning in big numbers to the office and AWS are not pushing it.

Cons

You will be massively overworked, you will be expected to achieve your goals with little to no project management tools (all in house - rubbish tooling), the teams that you work with have such a high turnover of staff that you need to reinvent the very basic project tasks over and over again. The TPM's manage far too many projects and you will burn out after 3 years.... max! The bar is dropping for TPM's and Engineers for diversity, you are not working with the best anymore. Once you are in Promotion is harder than getting into AWS, its a massive bureaucracy of reasons not to promote you.
