-Amex puts the “cult” in culture. Very cliquey and likes to say they are inclusive, in reality, they hire a certain prototype of employee and those employees don’t create a welcoming culture. You are expected to drink the amex koolaid if you want to succeed -Your success is dependent on your leader’s influence and how much others like you, regardless of your contributions -This is a company that likes to hire and promote young employees who do not have the communication skills or experience to be managers -Depending on your team and role, you will be working very long hours in a very high stress environment

Great compensation, great colleagues, some good leaders.

Cons

Fake transparency. Senior leaders work hard to find bad reviews and hold it against people and pretty much halt their careers. Technology group is out for themselves and not what is best for the company.
