Pros

The onboarding process was unique. Interacting with executives and directors from all departments as they provided an overview of each group's functions was enlightening and welcomed.

Cons

No matching 401k. Thus far, the lack of a 401k match is the only reason I can think of to not rate the company as 5 stars.

We are sad to hear that you feel this way. At AppDynamics, we have yearly performance reviews where you can critique your managers, and they exchange feedback with you on your performance as well. This is definitely a time to discuss any pressing concerns. Managers are also available for 1:1 meetings in which you can talk to them about anything from career growth and development, projects to team chemistry and more! We are strong believers that each AppDynamo should go after what they want and speak up. Ask for what you want and where you want to be, and we'll give you the resources to get you there!

Pros

- Working hours: I usually come to office before 10 am and leave around 5 pm (the office is usually empty in the morning and after 5pm, besides finance team) - Good salary - Interviewing process was efficient in the last year

Cons

- Talent: Not high hiring bar - Technology: It's not a cloud company when you have barely 1 (maybe 1.5) releases a year and most of the customers are on-prem. Probably better for young developers to explore more innovative working environments - Culture: The culture of any organization is shaped by the worst behavior the leaser is willing to tolerate... and believe me there were @#$% people in the organization who were backed up by management

Our HR and Office Management team works very hard to ensure that our office culture remains at its best, and our Recruiting team screens candidates multiple times not only for culture fit but also for team fit. Our engineering interviews consist of a panel of 4-8 interviewers who talk, test and discuss expectations with potential candidates. After the interview, the panel syncs up to discuss whether or not the candidate would be a positive addition to the team, and we make an offer based on a group decision. We value transparency, and managers are more than happy to discuss any of your concerns!
