Pros

- Work from home - Passionate leaders- Ability to drive your own destiny - I was originally a functional consultant, but over time was granted the opportunity to move to a more technical and managerial role. Also worked for a great manager who was very supportive of me and the rest of the team.

Cons

- I had a horrible maternity leave experience. I had originally worked out my maternity leave with a company that was subsequently acquired by Appirio mid-pregnancy. By my due date, I still would not qualify for FMLA, however the original company had a maternity leave policy beyond FMLA. When we were acquired, it was briefly discussed and no mention was made of me doing anything else than originally planned (however, I unfortunately didn't get this in writing from Appirio HR staff). Fast forward to 1 month prior to due date, I submitted my paperwork for leave as instructed, and was sent an email from HR stating that I didn't qualify for FMLA (I already knew that) and that they would only offer me 1/2 of the time that I was planning to take (total of 6 weeks they offered). All said and done, I ended up taking a full 3 months (which is EXTREMELY low offering for a TECHNOLOGY COMPANY with a HQ in CALIFORNIA), but did so under the premise that since I was taking a 'sabbatical' that there was no guarantee that when I came back that I would have a job. Needless to say that was much added stress to a new mother that was really unnecessary. I did return and got my job back, and a few months later of hard work was actually promoted to a team lead role. So while it ended up working out in the end, I think their maternity leave policies and the way the treat these types of family leaves definitely needs a revamping.

Pros

Free snacks, good coworkers, good brand (for now)

Cons

The culture here has gone downhill big time. There used to be transparency, but now the executive team comes to the HQ unannounced to meet with outside consultants regarding cost cutting measures. Despite doing well, the company clearly is being pressured to minimize any extra expense, such as traveling in to actually meet your coworkers. Advancement opportunities are fading fast after moving to a quarterly review process. There seems to be no budget for promotions. This shows and people are jumping ship fast. I would not recommend working here anymore.

Appirio is constantly changing to fit the needs of our customers. This change -- albeit incredibly important -- can be very tricky to navigate. Our employees are at the forefront of our decision-making process. We value the worker experience, and that is what makes Appirio a different experience. Thank you so much for your feedback! Pros

1. Cab Service 2. Dedicated towards gaining Certifications. 3. Work Culture 4. Connection of US management to employees in India. 5. High Quality Developers. 6. Dedication to make employees learn about upcoming cloud tech.

Cons

1. Management Ethics(Managers are not worth being managers) 2. Politics on the floor. 3. Improper communication of Salary breakup by HR to employees. 4. Improper communication skills in managers and hence are mostly not able to convince US based management. 5. Non Standardized working style. No Release or Project management , all you know is you have to code when a task appears, the why's and why not's cannot be asked 6. most managers would not be able to qualify in a technical , behavioral and HR round of any big firms present as the lack everything.
