      Incompetent coterie around the CEO

      Pros

      - Good culture - Good benefits - Some really smart people at Topcoder (crowdsourcing community of Appirio)

      Cons

      - The CEO has surrounded himself with a closed coterie of people who are mostly incompetent/have no vision but being close to the CEO not only survive but thrive. This coterie tries to "anticipate" what the CEO's thoughts are and align themselves to that thinking. - It's a yes culture. No room for differing viewpoints/thoughts/opinions. - A LOT of sales people as the company thinks the more feet you have on the ground, the better. Quantity over quality. Most sales reps are a tactical bunch with inflated egos.

      Pros

      Fast growing start-up and a pioneer in driving adoption of Cloud computing technology/solutions in the enterprise. This is a highly relevant space for the next decade or so, in these fast changing times. Awesome leadership and culture overall. Your voice is always valuable.

      Cons

      Hyper-growth causes stress on many fronts, and as long as you are able to cope with the ever changing environment and the challenges that come along, you would just enjoy every bit of it.

      Good and Bad

      Pros

      Bleeding edge opportunity to be a part of the industry's only Cloud Consultancy. Recommend joining for Work/Life Balance, Culture, Values and experience but don't stay more than 1-1.5 years...

      Cons

      Don't stay more than 1-1.5 years because the Comp & Benefits and Career Advancement opportunities are completely off the rails broken. Wish I could grow within Appirio but I can't. Absolutely zero opportunity to negotiate merit increases or upward mobility upon consistently demonstrating next level job performance. I have former peers at Deloitte who have advanced 3 levels to my 0. And the quality and variety of my career experiences in the Workday ecosystem is demonstrably superior to theirs.
