Pros

Remote work. Front line managers, for the most part, are very hands-off and allow you to get your work done how you feel fit.

Cons

Appirio has completely transformed in a severely negative way from March 2019 to the present. All systems, policies, and procedures were switched over to Wipro's and have all taken a huge step backward. The Wipro systems are antiquated with UI from the '80s. Bonus compensation for consultants has been drastically reduced. Most policies and procedures are either undefined or so complex it takes a lawyer to decipher them. Travel expenses, for which as someone working for a consulting company you will have a lot of, are taking multiple months to be reimbursed to people. That means you will literally spend money, easily thousands of dollars, for work travel and you have no idea when Appirio/Wipro will reimburse you for this. Leadership has lost all sense of transparency. Company calls are filled with happy talk with hardly any mention of the actual issues most employees are facing. Two co-founders recently left the company. Yet, upper management did not make any announcement about this until it was there very last day. Chris Barbin, who was Appirio's original CEO but left in 2018 to work for Wipro directly, left Wipro and again no announcement was made to the company until well after Barbin left. The new company CEO, Andy Chaudhuri, is all but absent from the organization. During the company calls, which would be his opportunity to be the face of the company for its employees, he only makes a brief appearance and leaves the vast majority of the calls to others. Apprio pitches to clients their capabilities with tranforming the worker experience. Internally they've done just that, except they've transformed it into a monotonous culture that's steaming with attrition.

Pros

Work/life balance. Work hard/play hard culture. Lots of collaboration opportunities as well as autonomy. You are treated like an adult and given the freedom to do your job. Lots of *Great* tools, truly a cloud company where you can work from anywhere.

Cons

Consultants are leaving in droves. The Wipro culture continues to seep in and the "do more with less" mindset has taken its toll. Wipro's culture of attrition and then just piling work on those who are left caused projects to fail. Much of Wipro feels like the 1960s where men can be condescending and adversarial towards women. Expense system is cumbersome and severely outdated.

Pros

Great for fresh grads in middle America or India to get certified, experience and get a job at a major player. Bar is always stocked. You can work at home in your pajamas.

Cons

They hire "good cultural fit" over talent. Lots of managers are self promoter and political types but clueless about the products and work, so top talent does all the work for a while and always leaves. Virtually no raises once you are hired. Always proud of their "culture" but routinely looks to outsource workforce first to Indy then now to India to save a buck.
