We encourage a flexible work policy designed to promote a healthy work/life balance, which is good for everyone, not just those with families! Most of the graduates I have met at ARM love the hands on experience and autonomy/trust that they are given. That said, others are more productive in a formal, structured environment, so it's a matter of determining what works best for you and your line manager.
Communication is key between any employee and their line manager, so I highly encourage that you bring up your personal development with him/her in your next 1:1 session. They may not even realize what they are doing! I also recommend you to take a look at the Talent Development section on the ARM intranet, as that contains a wealth of information designed to help grow your career.
