      Pros

      An environment that is designed to help you develop and thrive. Arm prides itself on its three core beliefs, "We Not I", Be Your Brilliant Self", and "Passion for Progress". These beliefs are well and truly on display through the people you meet, the work undertaken, and the outcomes achieved. The newly opened campus creates a collegiate feel, with a pristine sense forward-thinking oozing from the very building you inhabit. I would recommend a role at Arm, provided some of the cons are overlooked.

      Cons

      Whilst there are minimal downsides, there are a few which bite at the role, depending on the department. The core beliefs, whilst excellent in bringing diverse individuals together, can often create discord with good working practice. Oftentimes, there exist directions that are at odds with overall strategies. Individuals give such directions with no thought to how such directions apply and are rather flights of fanciful ego. There is a lack of delineated structures to resolve such issues. Discussions to resolve situations often land on deaf ears and leadership teams lack the power to make a change is made apparent with such power consolidated to a handful of the nomenklatura preventing forward progress. This is, however, mitigated by excellent colleagues who help to weather the storm.

      * Manchester office is growing rapidly and that comes with opportunity * Coffee is taken seriously and you have the chance to become self-taught barista * Free fruit Thursdays and in-office yoga * Game tournaments (MarioKart, foosball, table pool etc) * Fun and funky office design
