Pros

Good when it comes to family stuff, like unplanned events or appointments. Quite flexible that way. Salaries used to be very competitive, but not sure anymore since inflation is so high and nothing has been done to raise pay.

Cons

Not the company that it was. Culture has gone downhill in the last 5 years big time. Becoming more and more soulless and corporate. Rewards being cut with no replacement, lack of communication from senior staff, record breaking years year after year but nothing to show for it. Such a shame. Trying to make people come to the office even if your job doesn’t require person to person collaboration…

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We are sorry to hear that you feel Arm’s culture isn’t what it was and it would be really helpful if we could get more insight on this from you. If you are happy to share with us, please contact Glassdoorfeedback@arm.com . 91% of people who completed our latest employee survey (75% of everyone in Arm) said they were proud to work for Arm, and our Core Beliefs (We not I, Be your brilliant self and Do great things) play a huge part in that and our culture – we expect everyone to live by them. In terms of reward, people do share in the success of Arm through our reward structure, and our commitment is to reward people competitively and equitably for the work they do and the skills and experience they bring to Arm. Finally, we have a hybrid approach to being in the office. We see real value in bringing our people together in-person, and, as our CEO recently said, to retain our culture we need strong relationships, connections and community. However we know that some tasks are easier to do remotely, so we encourage a flexible approach, where people can work remotely when needed but also come into the office to build community, problem solve and learn from each other.

Pros

Used to be decent enough

Cons

I have never seen a company run itself so completely through a blender. Lay off after lay off after layoff Latest rounds cut very deeply All the best people left immediately when they could, the talent is long gone People left behind are not the best No ability to identify talent and retain or develop it Imported very nasty external executives with little or no understanding of business Donated all their best talent to direct competitors via complete incompetence Zero appreciation, recognition or reward for outgoing employees who contributed tremendously, not even a “thanks” Not sure how the cultural damage can ever be undone

Pros

Fact: If you're an engineer, then you get paid a lot. If you aren't, then you're a peasant and get abused by said-engineers through entitled requests.

Cons

- Bribes employees with bonuses as a way to over compensate for the amount of stress this job gives its employees - Extremely entitled engineers that demand you to pay for their personal life expenses (and get away with it) - Causes severe amounts of anxiety due to clueless Executive Assistants - Non-existent 'work-life' balance that they claim to talk about so much - The stress from this job will cause you to go on medication - Everyone looks out for themselves, so middle management benefit and don't promote lower grade employees since they feel threated for their own job security - Bullying is 'looked the other way'. You can report it, but nothing gets done about it.
