      Pros

      Open door policy with upper management, start-up atmosphere allows room for growth and creativity, great benefits and plenty of PTO, good size gym in office, on-site and off-site activities

      Cons

      ARM is a worldwide company which means there are occasional early and late meetings with the UK and APAC. Staff is a bit short makes it hard to execute full potential on everything.

      Pros

      Great company culture, everybody believes in ARM and wants it succeed. Engineers given freedom to innovate. Fantastic work/life balance, with great benefits, tons of vacation, and a sabbatical.

      Cons

      IT is second-rate for a company of this size. Terrible support, reliability, equipment, budgets. New CEO is bringing some of what is bad in other tech companies into ARM - major reorgs, trying to force common methodologies, penny-pinching.

      Engineering driven hard, with poor communications prevalent in many areas

      Pros

      They provide good flexible working when needed. They give a one-off 4 week 'sabbatical' lump of extra vacation time for every four years of service. If you are driven enough and have the correct people skills to fit the company, you can affect change or carve out your own roles to some extent.

      Cons

      Marketing driven, with input from a select few. Bulk of engineering team can be treated like children by marketing - "do what you are told and don't ask questions you don't know anything about." Often runs with minimal resource on projects. People's roles are weakly defined so you can get good and bad projects depending on your co-workers.
