Pros

Work is genuinely on the cutting edge, and if you work well under pressure you will get plenty. There are a good number of very bright people in the company who it is a delight to work with. It looks like this is a great environment for graduates to get some experience.

Cons

The pace of expansion is meaning fewer people with a high level of understanding of their work, coupled with a higher degree of detailed task management. The burden of processes (badly implemented with outdated technology) seems to be increasing. It now seems quite rare to have a technical discussion with someone who understands anything in any depth - this wasn't the case only a couple of years ago. Despite the processes, there is loads of basic stuff being done in different ways by people coming new to a task, and no will for anyone to step back and set up a good standard way of working.

Pros

ARM takes great care of their employees. It is a laid back, open atmosphere, and I absolutely love working here.

Cons

The worst part about working at ARM has nothing to do with the company, but most people outside of tech don't know who we are, even though our tech is so pervasive.

Thanks for leaving a review! We're really happy to read that you're enjoying your internship with ARM, and hope to see you as a full time employee in one of our many Graduate positions once you have finished your studies. You're absolutely right that not many people outside of tech will know who we are, and we're hoping to change that! Social Media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and even Glassdoor are helping to raise ARM's brand awareness, but as we hire more and more staff, the hope is that they'll be proud to tell their friends and family what a great company ARM is to work for. -Rick C. Pros

Great people. Fantastic opportunities. Leading edge technology. One of the few UK high tech companies with truly global influence.

Cons

Pay could do to catch up. The company is very focused on technical contribution. If your job is not technical, you could be fired in a flash.

Thanks for leaving a review. While it is true that ARM is very focused on technical contribution (over 70% of the company are engineers), the non-technical jobs are just as important as we look to grow the company even more than we have in the last few years. Regarding pay, the Rewards team is reviewing current salaries globally across all departments and grades, and will adjust reward/compensation as needed once we are have finished our evaluation. This was also mentioned in the quarterly results meeting if you were able to attended one of the sessions in the office. -Rick C. Social Recruiting Manager
