Pros

Impact on society and patients' health Fast-paced and exciting environment Large company with wealth of expertise and collaborative mindset

Cons

Hard to get promoted and it feels like managers accept high turnover with key focus on keeping staff for as long as possible without actual fit compensation for achievements. Speak up culture is advertised but the reality is different

Pros

Good R&D pipeline, interesting work, decent benefits.

Cons

Work life balance is terrible, have to check with you manager if it's okay to take your vacation. Some managers are good, some are bad including micromanaging employees. Wfh policy is bad - Management expects you to come to the office at least 3 times a week despite the fact teams you work with are global and not in your office. Makes zero sense. IT at the Mississauga office at least is terrible. Hard to get any useful help.

Pros

Good compensation. Good entry level role for Quality Assurance backgrounds. Involved in improvement projects and face to face with auditors as an SME. 9-5 hours (flexible start). Plenty of internal opportunities for progression across different departments.

Cons

Some roles do not have good career projection. Current org chart requires horizontal move prior to promotion to a Grade D role. Criteria for promotion for a higher grade role is inconsistent; some people who have less experience and skills are promoted. Management prefers to hire externally instead of promoting internally. Lack of career progression forces people to either change role or quit the company altogether.
