      My experience at Atlas Copco was up and down.

      Pros

      The best thing about Atlas was above average compensation, and the benefits were great. I believe the benefits were better than the compensation.

      Cons

      The business tends to lay off every four or five years. Most of the lay off is from production, not the office jobs. I we laid off twice from 2008-2013, up and down business market.

      Pros

      Easy to be part of big projects Always a good work/life balance (Swedish style) Overall a broad professional experience Many international opportunities, if that is what you are looking for

      Cons

      Quite greedy management Good starting salary, but increases very slowly Hard to get the big picture on long term strategy Promises for personal growth are not always kept A lot of discussion needed to move forward in projects

      Used to be great, now too hard to advance. No training offered. Ok received a pay cut as well.
