Pros

Training to help you stay on top of the IT Curve. They also have a program called Passion for Technology. It is an awesome program that gives you benefits to purchase technology related products and expense them through out the year up to your qualified amount based on job title.

Cons

Although the company offers training to it's employees, it is hard to find time to actually get to do it.

Pros

At Avanade, a culture of constant learning and stretching your own boundaries permeates daily life. I have worked with some of the smartest people I have met working here.

Cons

Avanade is a large global organization which can be daunting to some people and is overwhelming when you first jump in. If you don't like being on the road all the time then this is not the company for you.

Superior collaborative environment

Pros

Top 5 reasons to consider working here: 1) The collaboration is amazing. 2) There is full communication across all levels within the company (Analyst to Director). 3) Intellectual knowledge is freely shared, which makes learning a joy. 4) Your worth is measured by your product knowledge - rather than your title. 5) The training opportunities are exceptional. Certifications, classes, professional development - all inclusive.

Cons

Top 3 reasons to look elsewhere: 1) Accenture owns Avanade and the work cultures are very different. One rough Accenture project (and there's plenty of those) and you'll be on LInkedIn looking for your next opportunity. 2) An overly collaborative environment unfortunately sacrifices any chance for true leadership development. There are plenty of Managers, but exceptionally few leaders here. Accenture is not looking for leaders with their hired help. 3) The bonuses/pay-raises are insulting.
