      Best place to get close to Microsoft Technologies (other than Microsoft itself)

      Pros

      Cutting edge technologies, 80 hours mandated training annually, lots of training materials, good network of experts.

      Cons

      Risk averse. Good people often sent to the front lines to rescue "fires", while not-so-good ones enjoy time on the bench doing trainings and easy works. At the end of the day, the "exceed exceptional" receives only 2% more salary increase than those that "meet expectation" due to the salary guide and banding. It is important to get a lead who knows your performance well.

      Pros

      Working here has been a huge beneficial experience. Coworkers assist with your ambitions giving you the opportunities to grow as much as you would like, coming to work is something to look forward to.

      Cons

      Small amounts of typical work cons such as processes still in development as well as some micro management with individuals trying to claim their place in the company. Overall minimal issues compared to most other businesses and is far within a tolerable range.

      Can't comment. They didn't keep interview appointment so can't really think of any!

      Cons

      Introduced to organisation for a director role which they weren't calling 'director' for some reason. First contact was a telephone interview where they didn't even bother calling at the arranged time. Weren't even apologetic about that! Poor really, tells you all you need to know about a company and how it vales candidates or not. I withdrew my candidacy at that point, not much point in going further once this happens.
