Pros

I worked in the Seattle office where I worked as a UX designer. Immediately, I noticed a close-knit community that is welcoming and friendly. From what I saw, most people got along with each other very well. The type of work is really hard to predict as it is a consulting company. Your day-to-day tasks will vary depending on the industry of your client. That's also the reason why it makes the work fun because you don't know who you will be working for next, who you will be working with, and what kind of skills you might learn. The organizational structure is also very flat. We can ping anyone for a coffee chat and the culture welcomes it greatly.

Cons

There are two main turnoffs for this company. 1. The company is very homogenous and White male dominant. There is a serious lack of diversity in the office. They do have a lot of women in leadership as it is one of their diversity focus, but in terms of racial diversity, I only saw a handful of Black and Latinx employees. As someone who values diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice in the workplace, I think Avanade needs to focus on hiring and cultivating more talent of varying backgrounds. 2. Sometimes you won't get on a project for a long time. I've seen a few people leave because they were on the bench for extended periods of time. It can be even more exhausting to not get picked up from the bench than being on a rigorous project.

Pros

there are a lot of advantages working in avanade, it seems like that, 1- annual bonus up to 6% out of annual salary 2-annaul increase depending on your performance in the company from 0% to 7% 3- ticket restaurant 4- agreement with public transport in Milan and Rome, you pay less than the normal 5- agreement with gympass, paying less money and you will have access to sportive centres in allover the country 6- they pay 21€ for your internet at home monthly 7- voucher per Microsoft certifications 8- sometimes they have interesting projects which can add something more to you and your skills

Cons

after seeing the advantages may your eyes will shine but just wait a second to read the disadvantages, 1- you are just a number in the company and the imporant thing the overall income at the end of the fiscal year. 2- they will send you always to the out of your city to work on site of the client even if the client is 1000km far from home. for the policy of the company you can't stay on the client site in weekends, so you have to go home in wekends and go back again to the client site in week days. so you will not have any personal life. 3- the projects will be assigned to you without taking your opinion or even you have the skills or not, the important to not staying there without unassigned project. 4- when you are working on client site, you have to gift everyday from 1 to 2 hours from your time to keep the company image without being paid, but you will get the bonus at the end of the year (if you claculate your not paid extratime you give to the comapny you will find that you have paid the bonus 5 or 6 times before getting it only once from the company) 5- they fix to you some goals at the begining of every fiscal year (the year there start from septembre and ends at August), if you reach these goals they will give you the bonus and the increase, one goal is to take at least one Microsoft certification. but being always in client site and working not paid extratime and passing your free time in trains/planes to go back home, you will find the only free time to study for the certification is the few hours you have for your family in weekends. 6- your performance depends on your superior reports and most of the time this superior is arrogant or at least underestimate you for no reason. 7-employees of Avanade most of the time work for Accenture projects and Accenture managers see them as a slaves. 8- all the benefits they give to you, you can't enjoy them because you will not have the time, there is no any Work-Life balance working with Avanade.
