Classic evil megacorp full of ineffective fat cats
Pros
Decent salary. Flexible, remote working. DEI initiatives.
Cons
Promotion & pay review processes are non-existing. Quality of line managers is very poor. Patronising seminars about managing burnout while work increases. An excess of energy is poured into the employer brand which ultimately is not backed up by deeds. Extremely lacklustre marketing organisation - full of ineffective incumbents. So much work goes into producing so little. Marketing output feels like warmed up slop. Politics - those who are seen to work well get all the praise. Very poor and contradictory comms around tight budgets and limited promotions - in the next announcement they announce extensive promotions. Layoffs - people get disappeared like in season 4 of the Wire. Comms are that they 'left.' Tight budgets - for an organisation with a turnover of several billion dollars the marketing budget is tiny - in the single millions. Probably because it all goes to paying the salaries of ineffective execs.
