Pros

- Bupa healthcare - Yearly flu jab voucher

Cons

- Archaic policies to meet minimum requirements; i.e. very poor holiday allowance, birthday off but if it's a weekend then you don't get it in lieu - Dishonest reviews left on job sites by Directors or employees that have been given incentives to leave positive reviews, stating that the company is "forward thinking" - Forced to sign training agreements with strict terms unless they want to make you redundant - BCN is obviously acquiring more companies in order to sell off in a few years time - Incredibly poor response to Covid pandemic - Directors use free pizza and pool tables in place of fair policies that benefit employees

Pros

- Very forward thinking company with clear goals and expectations. - The location of the Leeds office is fantastic. Really this makes working in a high pressure environment that much easier as you get to go work in a nice old estate surrounded by greenery and wildlife. - Being trusted with work that makes a real impact on the company, which really makes you feel valued and part of the bigger picture. - Ability to further skills on a consistent basis leading to personal growth. - Constant praise and recognition for hard work, whether this is just being praised, thanked or compensated. - Great bunch of people to work with. From team members, to team leaders, managers, directors and owners. Everyone is really nice, exactly who you want to be spending so much time with. - The owners give regular updates on how the company is going and what our plans are for the future. A lot of transparency around what the plans are for each quarter. - The owners make an effort to get to know you and not just be the owners of the company. - Working from home where needed. 2020 aside, even before now the company understands how this is required to keep a healthy work/life balance. - Dress down full time. Just makes being at work that little bit more comfortable. - Health plan. - Free taste card. -Christmas gifts. - Fantastic summer and Christmas parties (seriously great fun!) - Birthday off each year.

Cons

It can be stressful during certain projects and pieces of work but that's just the nature of the work and being part of a company that is constantly moving forwards.

Pros

Working at BCN in the last year has been a pleasure every day. During my first months the leadership were each introduced to me in a 121 basis and I learnt about not just my part in the business but the other departments and the overall aims and objectives for the whole company. I have worked in places where the management didnt care at all about their staff and wanted to rinse them for every bit of talent and time that they could, pretending to give some kind of work life balance but you ended up working all the hours god sent for no reward. At BCN that isn't the case, your life comes first and when you do work long shifts or go above and beyond, that is recognized, not just within your department but at a senior level. I have lost count of the amount of times I have had Directors come to me and say thank you for your hard work, or been given bonuses to thank me. Under the inspirational leadership of senior management the company is flourishing and I feel hugely valued in my position. I have been given trust and opportunities at every turn and through my hard work a dedication, been recently promoted. Social events are often attended by staff, from the yearly family BBQ to bowling nights, monthly curry nights, airsoft games and even trips out to the yorkshire scare grounds during halloween (Weve even done Crystal Maze!). The atmosphere at every event, even within the office is one of a strong family feel, everyone will go above and beyond for each other and there is no problem we can't overcome together. Working with my colleagues and other teams is great, everyone understands what is required and we often come together to overcome difficult issues for our customers and even our colleagues. We all work together and want to help each other to succeed and grow and it is often a pleasure to see internal promotions or thanks being given to team mates under your leadership.

Cons

In all honesty, I don't believe there are any cons but I doubt you would believe this review if i said that. There are always cons at times, sometimes travelling between Leeds and Manchester can be tough and a long slog. However this again is often seen as going above and beyond and is rewarded. Sometimes its difficult to get a hold of account managers but they are often out making sales and working with customers directly so an email can always be read later. Overall, for me specifically, there aren't many cons and this really is, the best job i've ever had.
