Pros

Learned that bosses (equity partner) are really a typical "China man" mindset business owner. Making you to realise how cruel is the bosses can be when making decisions between profit vs employee welfare.

Cons

Bosses (equity partner) is money oriented. Employees is always treated as a tool no matter how long you worked with them. HR were making efforts to introduce better culture and bringing in more fresh graduate, however HR were having limited resources as bosses only approve limited budget. Current situation of firm as of March 2022: 1)majority of new joiner quit in few months time 2)3months experience staff was being promoted to senior to fill up the gap (mass resignation of senior) 3)workforce shortage lead to higher workload and tighter dateline. 4)Engagement team size shrunken to 50% smaller than previous year team size, however workload remained. 5)Management did not hold their promise made in townhall meeting. Promises are being fulfilled in a not very sincere way. e.g: promise to introduce one week firm break but end up giving us a week break during public holidays week.

Pros

May meet nice colleagues, but all dependent on your luck. Birthday and anniversary leave.

Cons

If only zero could be given for rating, that is how bad this company is. The company would definitely squeeze you dry. From information gathered, it is very true the more competent one is, the greater the workload you have and you may not get appreciated for the effort and extra hours put in. They will only expect more. All the benefits that they provide are the most minimal it can get, do not expect more, from the minimum salary offered to avoid OT expenses for audit profession to the minimum number of leave days given as recommended by MOM. Pay for your own snacks at the vending machine. Guess one should be contented with the free flow of plain water and soda biscuits. Salary package is definitely not transparent and very unfair to those that are not locals. Most people joined because the HR processes the application VERY quickly and promptly. The higher management is just ridiculous and changes their policy as and when they see fit, without taking into concern their employees, which of course can be expected considering the higher management only does things that are beneficial to them. And that is just on the higher management. For managers, there are even those which will criticise you and get reprimanded as if you are worthless. The list continues on.

Pros

Just the name- BDO !

Cons

Everything! The top management is impossible to work for & leave no chance to humiliate, insult & say outright offensive things to their employees. The quality of clients are not upto the Big5 mark & the work is more frustrating than challenging.
