Public accounting experience looks good when you inevitably leave

Cons

Holidays are meaningless. Having a week off between Christmas and NYE sounds great unless you’re on a client with a 10/31 year end date in which case you’ll be working that whole week. But as HR told me, it is what it is.

-Time off can be good if you are on a Team that allows you to take it. -Generally people are friendly and welcoming -Infinite work so a lot of opportunities to learn

Cons

-Partners are stuck in old fashioned mindsets and are resistant to change -Hours can be bad and will likely get worse with the firm pushing high revenue targets while simultaneously being unable to attract talent. -Not proactive in attracting new talent and appear to be counting on a recession to improve employee retention. -Lack of feedback mechanisms
