Thank you for taking the time to share your perceptions. Performance evaluations are of course subjective because they require human judgment but they should not be biased. One benefit of public accounting is working in different project teams to allow a variety of judgments and evaluations to form a composite view for each individual, hopefully neutralizing any unconscious bias. If you do see a project or experience you would like to have, certainly volunteer and ask your career advisor to advocate for you to be placed on challenging growth assignments. As for diversity, I'm with you! As an industry, we all struggle to find and draw diverse backgrounds to our firms. We are committed to doing so and welcome any ideas you have for how we can do it better!

Pros

Not many pros but some good people to work with they all end up leaving to a better place. lots of different engagements many clients, learn a lot from being here.

Cons

cheap NYC office only $10 dinner covered. all other brig 4 have $25. High co-pays on insurance. Reviews are every 6 months with low feedback from management throughout. It depends whom you work with as your manager, has a cult feeling to it hen it comes to bonuses and promotions. The obvious is the long busy season hours. 60+.

Pros

Cannot think of anything positive about BDO Singapore

Cons

1) calendar year basis used to calculate my leave entitlement on my last day and this reduce my leave encashment. 2) backstabbing culture in which you cannot trust anyone in the department. 3) poor management and one of them spy in you and take photo of you 4) not helpful to navigate around the admin matter in the department 5) poor pay structure 6) you need to serve full notice when you are under probation, but they can ask you to leave anytime without fulfilling the full notice 7) all policy are to the benefit of the management and to the maximum disadvantage employees
