Pros

Work with some pretty interesting folks, privately held company so they do what they want and if you happen to be in a management position or an engineer role they take good care of you.

Cons

Lack of career ladder, no matter what is listed in the employee handbook don't be fooled. Barracuda has a rock solid business model but they can continue to rotate in fresh bright tech support folks until they catch on that this isn't going anywhere.

Pros

The company culture is excellent. It is a competitive environment, while working or playing table tennis. Despite the competitve attitude, employees are friendly and encourage each other to succeed and grow. There are many highly experienced, skilled, and successful individuals working at Barracuda, who you will have opportunities to work with. Lunch is provided, and food trucks are often available in the morning. Good coffee and espresso drinks are always available. FREE BEER ON TAP 24/7, but don't get carried away! Usually about 5 good beers on tap, including Kona, Stone, Dogfish Head, Ballast Point, North Coast, and more! If you're not a beer fan, never fear, for a full bar is provided to assist you in achieving your Ballmer Peak. Benefits are great, and last year 401(k) matching was added. Employees who stand out are awarded with various types of bonuses or stock incentives. I like Barracuda's focus on solving the customers problems. Product improvements are driven by customer needs. Our support/escalation system addresses urgent customer issues effectively. It feels good to help a customer and leave them feeling happy about their use of Barracuda products. Recently Barracuda has been focusing on growth into new products, markets, and within the company. I think we have been successful so far. This, in addition to our customer focus, give me confidence that Barracuda will continue to succeed for many years.

Cons

There is limited parking at the Campbell office, because the company has grown rapidly, while the parking lot has stayed the same. However, street parking is easy to find in the surrounding area. Some employees don't understand the meaning of "if yo finish the jo, make some mo", and leave the coffee empty after taking the last cup. They will realize their treachery in the Ninth Circle of Hell, when the angels blow their trumpets, come Judgement Day.
