Pros

Known Brand. Interesting opportunities for growth and some acquisiton, but hopefully they've learned their lesson about how to acquire companies cleanly and not blatantly disrespect the incoming employees.

Cons

If I had to listen to one more bad sports/height joke I would have just thrown out my laptop. Nothing is efficient. Things take forever to get approved or be completed. We were forced to sign new contracts over a holiday weekend, no access to lawyers. Everyone thinks they're a hot shot. CEO left on our first week, people cried. There was some koolaid drinking going on that is sorta creepy.

Pros

Barracuda has a very laid back environment, no accountability, is a good place to learn how not to run a software company, but there are some good people there (they should find a better job)

Cons

At Barracuda management has a superiority complex, promotions are based on personal interactions and brown-nosing not on merit, management makes technical decisions despite no technical knowledge and ignores those that do, lacks innovation overall as a company and a majority of the coworkers and management have big chips on the shoulders, and they also are way below market pay unless you're management in that case you are overpaid.

Pros

Good Brand Great start in Sales as long as you don't mind being in a Glorified call centre with a bell (Yes they have a bell when a sale is made)

Cons

No Work Flexibility Poor Support which Sales have to get Involved with You are tied to a desk in Basingstoke A lot of Politics and Bullying (With a smile on its face) Excessive Back stabbing around trivial non business related 'Issues' - This is why most employees avoid the social aspects. In reality is run by clique of 5 people that ensure they are not responsible for anything, and will get at you to protect themselves. A lot of Lay offs recently around EMEA, even sales that were over target were dismissed, some sued and won. Contract says basically trial for 6 months and no employment rights for 2 years, and they do use this when they feel like it Micro Management - IE how many calls you've made blah blah People that do well are the ones that play games around 90% of the time rather than working
