Pros

There is excellent work / life balance within certain practices of the company. Bill your 8 hours and then go home. No weekend work. Very little travel. Mostly great people to work with on your teams.

Cons

-Bad communication from MD on vision of practice -No mentoring from senior level employees for junior employees -Focus on selling of work rather than execution of current projects -Favoritism for certain team members and no chance for you to make a difference after that happens -No travel if that what interests you -Bonus metrics not defined ever -Compensation theory and practice not clearing defined, no sense of any sort of identifiable rating process

Pros

1. Compensation at market rate (because its hard to retain talent otherwise) 2. Training opportunities in certain practices - specific functional training only 3. Great team members & some useful projects 4. Easy to break into big time consulting

Cons

1. Poor management 2. No chance of building any worthwhile equity in the firm (why would you want to anyway...) 3. No tuition reimbursement program 4. Poor 401K matching 5. Poor end of the year raises/ bonuses (if any)
