Pros

Great colleagues with specific and useful skills. Good team environment. Flexible work hours. Good projects to work on. Respect of clients for the work we do. Willing to hire a brosder set of skills from the private sector.

Cons

Very weak financially with poor future unless we go private. Too high overhead leading to very high project minimum margins (65%). Limited training and knowledge sharing. Below market compensation and bonuses for more senior managers. Very difficult to get a increase in compensation without quitting first.

Pros

Name recognition, but who knows how long that is going to last. Most people in the business world recognize the name BearingPoint and have a general idea as to what the company does which is beneficial, but if the company continues to tank that isn't going to mean too much to any one.

Cons

If you are outside of DC, you are the forgotten child. Those employees in DC tend to be in the loop and have a good view of the direction and potential of the company. If you are located outside of the DC area you have to really exhert yourself to find out about company happenings.
