Pros

The projects are generally interesting. Co-workers are generally good to work with. Our clients are engaged and the cross-organization work effort is more collegial than I've seen with other consulting groups and their clients. The number of vacation days seems to be more than I've seen in other consulting and private organizations and management really stresses the importance of using that vacation time - though that's not always possible given client work needs. Training is a key management focus and the offered courses are generally very good.

Cons

The 401K is not impressive. The corporate struggles (i.e. current filing and stock price) in the past few years have pulled focus from client work and employee support.

Pros

I do not know if this is accurate for the whole organization but they allowed me to work full time and get my Master's degree full time as well. I was a special case where I worked Monday afternoon to Thursday afternoon and went to class Monday afternoons and all day Friday's.

Cons

They do not pay for higher education. Their pay scale is very low, one of the lowest in the industry. The lack of leadership trickles all the way down from senior management to your supervisor. Your supervisor does not provide any direction for career aspirations. All in all, this is not a very nice place to work.

Pros

Good benefits, great place to come out of a degree program or the military to get your feet wet in the consulting world. The benefits are very good there and they are above average in the department in my opinion. You'll get a chance to learn a lot, because there is a lot of turnover, so just by sticking it out on a project you will have the chance to do all the different positions, simply out of necessity.

Cons

Reputation is garbage right now. Stock is tanking Good employees are leaving in droves There is no education tuition assistance program. If they offered this, it would be the best benefits package in DC.
