Pros

Bearingpoint has a very strong committment to training and internal development. The Learning Management System is available to all employees at all times. Also, process and procuedure have been developed in gruesome detail and are repeatedly preached to everyone. This is actually a good thing though, especially for junior employees.

Cons

Middle Management tends to be a bit on the hands off side of management. I have had repeated issues arise dealing with manager and employees that should have never occured. All employees are expected to be billable some percentage of the time. This often conflicts with our abilty to grow business.

Excellent place to start a career and get your feet wet within consulting. With the proper commitment and open mind, you have the ability to learn a lot and experience numerous consulting assignments. You will have the opportunity to work with intelligent people who are committed to serving the client.

Cons

Stock price is atrocious and embarrassing, benefits and salary are weak, the company is in a constant state of rebuilding and cost-cutting effort, you have to take charge of your professional growth, limited networking opportunities, non-existent culture, senior leadership rotation, etc.
