Pros

The best reasons to work for BearingPoint is that it is an excellent place to build a consulting career and develop the skills needed to be a successful consultant. BE has a very good reputation, especially in the Public Sector, which gives employees the ability to work on a variety of projects.

Cons

Some of the downsides for working at BE include that the stock performance and financial state of the company effects you as an employee as your compensation (i.e. raises, bonuses) is affected and training budgets are cut along with company networking events. The culture of the company is somewhat rigid and there should be more opportunites to network and recieve training.

Pros

The people. My colleagues are professional, friendly, and have a great sense of client service. Most of the senior level people have several years of experience in multiple firms. The leadership is accessible (yes, I have emailed the CEO, and yes - he has personally responded on the same day).

Cons

The company has been beaten down financially over the last few years, and it is taking a toll on morale. Our new career model, compensation and development plans, and focus on people is making huge gains on this, but there is still work to be done.

Pros

There are many opportunities to learn and it's a great place to start out at.

Cons

The pay could be better. Many of the corporate benefits do not apply to those working in Hattiesburg. Having to work with incompetent engagement teams can be very trying, however it is an excellent opportunity to learn to be patient.
