Pros

It's really easy to keep a work/life balance- managers are supportive in you taking time off or if you need a bit of flexibility in your schedule. Also, there is a lot of flexibility and ability to move around in different sectors. Bearing Point also has a lot of training classes and certifications, and they stress that learning is very important.

Cons

Sometimes it's hard to get into the position you want- sometimes they just put you in a position for a year or a year and a half because they need someone there, but you are overqualified. It is also highly based on senority- just because you are more qualified, you may not get a position on a team because someone who is less qualified but has been with the company longer gets it.

Pros

You get a chance to travel so for people who love to travel, it is a good place to work because they get the chance to travel to different cities and stay in various hotels etc. It is also good to work at Bearing Point because you get to work on different projects all the time. once you have completed an assignment you can move to the next one and work with new clients and new team members right away. This helps to break out from a monotonous routine and keeps work exciting. The team work at BearingPoint is just awsome. We have some of the best people in the industry

Cons

Our stock price is tanking. Our company is not taking care of people that much. There are a lot of layoffs of good quality people happening all the time due to lack of projects and sales. Employee morale is constantly low. For people with families it is hard to always be on the road all the time and you don't get to spend a lot of time with your significant others. The financial systems in the company and other internal systems are not very good so it causes a lot of paperwork and stuff to be filled out all the time.

Pros

Earn more hotel points than you dreamed possible! But seriously, the chance to travel the US, gain experience a range of industries and work with all levels of client organizations from NOC analysts to Senior VPs. I've always been provided the training I need to gain skills regarding new technologies or soft skills as my career progresses (e.g. Communications and leadership skills) although you may have to push and take control to make sure it happens. You will meet loads of interesting people from a wide variety of backgrounds both other employees and from the client teams, providing you with connections for the rest of your career.

Cons

Your experience will probably vary based on the quality of your performance manager. You need to make sure you speak to him/her during your interview and get a feel for whether they would make a good champion for you - pushing for training, raises, interesting projects. BearingPoint's financial woes are a drag on morale.
