Pros

The ability to service clients from any location. Depending on your job and clientele, you could work from anywhere on your own hours and management supported this. The comraderie (inspite of the backstabbing by some) made it a decent place to work. BE really understood the family work balance.

Cons

The backstabbing from senior management to prevent anyone from leapfrogging over them in promotions, despite being unqualified to lead your team. Also the pay is better than Booz but way less than a Deloitte or PWC.

Pros

BearingPoint, even in this time of turmoil, has attempted to reward employees for hard work and dedication. Additionally, BearingPoint has is a supporter of lateral movement as well as promotions within your field. This means if one is not interested in the type of work he/she does, it is not difficult to switch to a different area of the company.

Cons

Upper management has let the company down. They were unable to run a profitable business even though BearingPoint employees were delivering on the job they were assigned - specifically, satisfying the client with best in class project work.

Pros

BearingPoint was great for getting diverse experience. I ended up on client engagements that tested my knowledge, challenged me every day and pushed my boundaries as a professional. I grew more in a year and a half with the company than I would have ever dreamed when I signed on.

Cons

The administrative side of BE was where the downsides were. I am still trying to sort out my final expenses almost three months after being let go, despite having sent in my completed documentation on a number of occasions. That, to me, is completely unacceptable.
