Pros

Great development if you work with your leaders on it. Inside and outside training available. Really care about their employees. Some of the best benefits in the industry from healthcare to financial advisors to family planning. Corporate is very hands on in developing the company in a great way based on customer service. Holiday pay is great. Non commissioned in most sales positions but great bonuses if you hit goals.

Cons

Every store runs quite a bit differently, management per store really controls how the store feels and operates. PTO when first becoming full time is unbearable low.

Best Job I've Ever Had

Pros

I have an amazing team that worked with me every step of the way! The manager hired really great people. During the holidays I received a large pay check! Best Buy's employee discount is great.

Cons

The demographic I work in is very difficult to work with. Customers are deciding between buying food or a cell phone. It is hard to make the sale with them. They are usually "just looking" or only come during sales.

Pros

I got to work with fun people in a great work environment. Getting hands on all the latest tech is a cool perk too. Good employee discount, especially for the Mobile Department. Overall, I had a lot of fun here. They also worked really well with my school schedule.

Cons

Responsibilities outweighed compensation. They expected me to work at 100% and cover a lot of areas, but did little to reward me for it. Low pay and a lack of sales commission made it hard to care at times, easy to just "hang out." Even though I had years of experience there, was among the most knowledgeable, and got good sales numbers, the annual raises were pathetic and they even hired inexperienced new employees at a greater pay rate than me.
