The pressure to sell things that the customer might not need but is highly profitable for the store. Hours could be a little crazy, sometimes closing and having to open the next day. Inventory wasn't tracked well and often went through lock-down on merchandise because couldn't find product and assumed stolen. They moved to a new phase where sales people worked in many different departments which hurt their knowledge of the product they were selling.

Questionable ethics is a phrase I hear a lot by many best buy employees and many websites describing how things are done. Management pushes employees to do better, but most times they never seem to do anything at all let alone set an example. The pretty faces get paid more than those who are less appealing as well as who is sleeping with management which is why there is strict policies about speaking of wages and in many cases instant termination is threated. No one will test them, such a dumb reason to be fired.
