Pros

Best buy is a very team oriented working experience. You have the opportunity to not only use, but understand how the art of making a sale works. Their training methods are inventive, unique and actually entertaining. How how you work directly relates to your success in the company. Your abilities to learn, understand and utilize training materials is rewarded and you are encouraged to help others learn and understand as you do, thus preparing you for your next steps in working your way up the management chain. Best Buy also provides 401K matching and some great discounts.

Cons

A good worker can be easily deterred by the general poor attitudes of some of the adolescents employed there. They will be more focused on socializing with each other and their plans for after work than providing a quality experience for the customers. These are not all of the employees, but those who are not looking to advance and are there purely for their own kicks and product discounts. Advancement can be very much a popularity contest, and the quality of your work experience can greatly vary from store to store. The quality of the mangement in your store will be the biggest factor in the quality of your experience.
