Pros

Best buy has a solid training program for new employees and training regarding new products. It's retail hours but usually very acomodating.

Cons

Best Buy does not have a system to make sure that the people who are promotoed are capable or knowledgeable about hr practices and professionalism.

Pros

Good discount. It's better on some things but not as good as sales prices on others. If you like customer service, you get to deal with a lot of different people. Somewhat fast-paced at times.

Cons

Never recognized for hard work, determination, initiative, or giving the 110% that is incessantly preached. Vert rarely recognized for sales volume, and when you are, it is quickly followed with a "but, you should've added..." or "next time, say..." Many, many, many meetings that force you to push needless products on customers. If you hate being approached 12 times by sales associates with fake grins in the first 5 minutes you walk in somewhere, you will hate working here. You feel like an enormous hypocrite. The middle management will drive you insane. Lots of brown nosing to seniors and condescending remarks to workers.

Pros

management support of employees, recognition for good job performance, management sticking to policies in relation to customer returns, company values its employees, excellent training program.

Cons

pay needs to be better, asset protection is used more as a customer service position than traditional ap, 30 minute lunch break only if you work over 7 hours and that wont happen very often.
