Pros

The job was fun, just lots of selling with specializing in selling of the warranty's. It was a good first job.

Cons

You have to be on your feet all the time. You can't sit down much. Lunch is 30 min.

Pros

Overall, a clean, organized, well structured, and well executed IT resources in terms of support, database applications, corporate software, network, reachability to all corporate personnel via electronic means of course, and a carefully design workflow processes that catch errors right away.

Cons

Management is all about conformity. All about the YES-Sir, Yes-Mam attitude. Qualifications have NOTHING to do with progress, job security, promotion, or stability. It is about conformity and docility. If you happen to work in Brampton, beware of the cultural groupings that are in tandem with management and team leads. They WILL backstab, undermine, undercut, and implode your work if you TRY to rise about the team. In other words, Best Buy is NOT the place to socialize or grow. Best Buy wants docility, conformity, and machine-type humanoids that rejoice at increased work quotas.

Pros

Great culture, lots of smart and passionate people, that famous employee discount. I absolutely loved working for Best Buy and I hope to again someday but some life events made me part ways. The company had some rough years when it refused to change with an evolving climate but after Hubert came on board as CEO and some different strategies were implemented I have all the faith that BBY has a strong future still.

Cons

Restructures are a necessary part of a business changing and adapting to the times but my own job has been on the chopping block many times which can be nerve racking and bad for morale. There isn't AS much incentive in recent years to get and retain good entry level talent. Making it in to management like I did is a prosperous job and very rewarding but there isn't as many leadership positions to go around as there used to be and the starting pay for entry level positions should be better to attract more driven and intelligent people that want to climb the ladder.
