Pros
The product suite is good, but there is room for further innovation. Bitmovin has a good reputation in the Media & Entertainment space and are recognized as one of the major players in video. Some of the new leaders within the company have been promoted from within, and as a result, they understand Bitmovin and the industry better than external hires could. The atmosphere within the business has improved dramatically in the past 6-12 months. Good career opportunities for those who make an impact.
Cons
There are deep rooted problems between solutions and sales which can only be resolved by resetting the balance of control. Many (but not all) of the solutions team are highly cynical of sales and attempt to exert control over the sellers - in practice this can never work because it is a sellers responsibility to manage the sales cycle from start to finish. Sales need to break from the shackles of solutions if the business is to grow in line with expectations. Solutions are an asset, but need to play a supporting rather than a controlling role. Sometimes the decisions made by middle management are not logical or well thought through.
