Hi former Panda — We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed working alongside your fellow Pandas in our new Vienna HQ and benefited from our hybrid working policy! At Bitpanda, our DNA reflects the incredible culture we’ve built together with our Pandas. We do our very best to ensure that everyone on our rocketship lives and breathes each of them to make this an open, honest and fully transparent workplace. When it comes to Radical Candor, we always strive to practice what we preach and give everyone here the ability to share their open and honest feedback. This is why we regularly give all our Pandas the opportunity to share what’s working well and where we need to improve in our completely anonymous Employee Voice Survey. Our dedicated People Team is also always on hand to provide confidential help and support whenever needed. Because the sector we operate in is rapidly changing, we have to move at a very fast pace (think building the rocketship while flying it!). And as we operate on the idea of “launch fast and iterate”, it’s never supposed to be perfect. Instead, we aim to learn together from our experiences and keep building — better — together. Hello there, based on what you’ve shared, it sounds like your time with us wasn’t as positive as either of us would have liked, and for that we are sorry. We wanted to take the time to address some of your comments here. Our Pandas well-being is imperative and working around the clock is not what we promote at all. Boundaries must be respected and a healthy work-life balance implemented for everyone. Our Pandas are our most valued assets and Bitpanda wouldn’t be what it is without each and every one of you. We work in a scale-up environment and that means that things can move fast and change quickly but working overtime certainly isn’t the norm and should never come at the expense of our team-members' well-being. While we are scaling up and growing our business, leadership and communication are a point of attention. We are actively working on improving these areas by providing managers with training and improving our performance management processes. We do encourage self-steering in our work and we empower our Pandas to create their own path with guidance. Over the summer we conducted another round of our 360 feedback cycle and development conversations and this is the perfect opportunity for people to discuss their career goals directly with their manager.
