An Inherent bias towards lateral hires that results in 1. A toxic level of superiority complex in in-grown consultants 2. Unavailability of opportunities for everyone 3. A cult-like working environment 4. Layoffs of lateral employees with less than 1-year tenure who didn't even get a chance to prove themselves

Goes with the reputation. BCG offers the opportunity to work on exciting and impact Fil cases while protecting work life balance to the extent possible

Cons

Extremely competitive (this is a pro also tbh). Eval cycles can get stressful. Won’t think twice before requesting someone to leave. Long way to go to achieve optimal WLB

Product Manager over our software engineer team didn't know any programming. And gave us unrealistic deadlines and would be unprofessional and sigh or show other signs of frustration when things weren't going her way.
