      Pros

      Diverse set of opportunities available across a wide range of industry and functions accelerates learning. Constantly supported by the company broadly as well key partners within the office. The flexibility provided to choose your path and the professional development opportunities are unparalleled.

      Cons

      High travel requirements were the primary negative. Occasionally, you would be staffed on a project where workstyles are incompatible, but that is mitigated by the nature of project-based work having a defined endpoint and opportunities to roll onto new teams.

      BCG is a tremendous place to build core competence on business fundamentals - from financial modelling to organisation design and capabilities. Most of all you learn the art of "corporate storytelling" - which is imperative for a career at a large company. Fantastic lifestyle, from flights to hotels, everything is designed to maximize your comfort to get the job done People around are highly intelligent and (even more) highly tenacious. And you are always pushed intellectually to go the extra mile.

      Cons

      Experienced hires - your previous experience is used more as a credibility builder for the firm, rather than an opportunity to leverage your knowledge and skills. Consulting people are part of a mold - and they push everyone to be the same. Work life balance is a big issue - 14 hours days are a minimum
