I worked at BCG for 5 years and left a few years ago, looking back with the benefit of hindsight this biggest pros are: - Rapid salary progression set me up for higher pay in all future jobs - An amazing network of people who are so supportive - some friends for life that I know well, but I can also reach out to BCG alumni I've never met and they always respond with support. A lot of my future work has come through BCG connections - Learning the foundations of how to work smart and strategically

Cons

The work was definitely mixed - some really interesting strategic projects, and some more painful long change management type projects Travel to some unglamorous places in the UK. Long hours.

There has been a noticeable decrease in employee benefits and perks compared to previous years. Team-building and social events (gatherings/parties) have been discontinued due to consistent budget constraints. The company provides no budget for employee certifications or individual professional development/learning.
