Pros

If your unemployed and need a job, it’s a job. But so is working at McDonalds. If you’re stuck for choice between the two, choose McDonalds. At least they treat their staff and customers like humans.

Cons

You and your contract are worth nothing to BA. Toilet paper seriously has more value than any contract BA could offer you. Your contract is ruled by a employee guide which conveniently is NON CONTRACTUAL. If you’re a new employee you won’t be for long. They’ll find a reason to get rid of you after they’ve used you and you won’t be able to do anything about it because they fully exploit the fact employees can’t claim for unfair dismissal with less than two years of service. There is a high turnover of employees for a reason and with every recruitment drive comes a new contract. Even if they do something outrageous (and they always do) they’ll point out the fact that your contract is under a non contractual guide which means they can abuse you with impunity and they take full advantage of it. If you still choose to take a job in H*ll and be managed and supervised by the devil’s minions COVER YOURSELF AND DOCUMENT EVERYTHING because they lie. Finally, BA employee travel is a scam. If you want to standby for an upgrade you have to pay extra for it (depending on where you’re going it could be a couple more hundred) and if you don’t get upgraded you don’t get your money back. If a fare paying passenger pays for an upgrade in advance and doesn’t get it on the day, they are fully refunded. Other airlines upgrade their staff if the seat is available for free.

Cheap airline tickets, travel

Cons

Management, cutting costs, Bonus is often more frustrating than motivating since the KPIs are always being changed to something new and often made public middle of the Quarter.
