Various opportunities with BA
Pros
Excellent and worldwide recognised training and you can choose to learn more if you want to. Good support from background colleagues eg counselling, mentoring, onsite dental and doctors, etc. Decent pension and rates of pay at market value. Lots of opportunities to apply for other roles within the company and given support to do this if wanted. Excellent discounts on travel and accommodation and other outside companies give you a discount eg car parks at airports, coffee shops etc at airports when you show your id.
Cons
Very little opportunities if living outside London as this is where most jobs are although you see BA uniform at local airports like Manchester or Edinburgh these are not BA employees but contractors so don't get same benefits. The company is huge and you can feel like just a number and of no importance at times unless you have a good manager who has his finger on the pulse. It's as if your almost self employed at some stages.
