The people I work with are the best. We all just get on with the job and there is no need to worry that someone doesn't know what they are doing. I get to go to some awesome places, places I still enjoy visiting after all this time. I get to meet and talk to some interesting people, my customers and colleagues. We get world class training in safety, medical and customer service. The pay is great, even for working 50% of the time and I get to take my family away at great discounted prices.

On my current fleet I have had no opportunity to further my career, even after 16 years, and I am not getting any better at night flights!

Excitement! Every day is a new adventure. The work is challenging so stretches individuals to maximise their potential. British Airways has strong company morals and values that each individual of every grade is responsible to uphold. The company is culturally diverse yet commits to a family togetherness, with mutual respect and recognition. Hard work and excellence is rewarded and credited where due. Customer satisfaction is a commitment that all my colleagues adhere to.

Cons

The sickness and absence policy is not flexible enough. Every employee understands the cost implications and risks to the business caused by sickness and absence, but management use this as a punishment that can affect career prospects.
