Pros

I can't say there are any

Cons

You are treated with such contempt, they have a very undignified system they give a date & time for all tutors at the same time to 'assign them selves lessons' which means around 300 tutors are frantically clicking away at slots desperately trying to get some lessons for that week, and if you are in a lesson at the time of the so called 'drop' you don't have the chance to assign your self any lessons so you have no work for that week. They have too many tutors and not enough classes so the best option for them is let the teachers fight it out amongst themselves. Even though teachers have complained about the system time and again it falls on deaf ears. The teacing material is terribly, usually the material is the wring level for the student or students are put in the wrong level class, you tell the managers and they do nothing about it. I'm not sure who puts the teacing material together but it's awful , I feel sorry for the poor students. Pay is very poor and no cares when you ask why teachers are not getting a well deserved pay rise.

Pros

OK pay and paid for training.

Cons

Teachers are not allocated lessons. Available lessons are made available about 6 weeks in advance and there is a free-for-all as all the teachers try to grab as many lessons as they can. It's like feeding time at the zoo. If you are late, you can end up with a very light schedule some weeks later. They are constantly advertising for new teachers, but there is not enough work for the existing teachers. The PowerPoint lessons are created by other teachers. Some are OK, but many are awful, filled with mistakes, badly structured and painfully dull.

Pros

Very confused organisation. Luck of the draw, you maybe happy here if you work for the right department.

Cons

False expectations in some departments, trying to achieve goals with no staff. There is a blame culture and people aren't very genuine, can be a cold and lonely place to work. Some departments struggle with professionalism.
