Pros

- RSU grants have big upside, adding to total compensation - Hock Tan is transparent in his internal communication to employees. Everybody knows where they stand. He regularly communicates strategy and where each business unit stands in his profitability dashboard.

Cons

A strictly business culture led by Hock Tan. - Most people don't enjoy working at Broadcom from my experience, but they put up with it to vest the RSU's. - Very lean business, constant RIFs, reduces headcount to bare minimum to milk maximum profitability. - No extra office perks, no work from home allowed unless you live 50 miles from office and have manager approval.
