Pros

The benefits at Broadcom (pay, stocks, other benefits) are top-notch. The office culture is good, and the managers are quite technical and hands on.

Cons

Very marketing driven company. Upward mobility (as in more responsiblities, etc.) is not really there specially as some of the business units are in a holding pattern and dont have growth (while still being quite profitable).

had been lucky enough in some special technical position, quite exposed, and grew fast.

Cons

company was going through compensation restructuring then, not really a friendly change for existing employees.

70 hour work weeks. Raises are rare after your 2nd year. Allow Discrimination toward non Asian or non Indian woman engineer's.

Cons

First 2 years treated well. Thereafter, only a selected few are treated well.
