This company is good place to work at, and it has stable market share in many business where the company is playing at.

Cons

the company stock price went up after announcing the company's exit from cellular modem business. will need to see how the future would pan out... guessing new investment would be used for other businesses in the company. will need to see what would be the return on these investment.

Very engineering-driven working environment. Broadcom has enjoyed success in various segments of the market. There are a lot of smart people around who are very dedicated to technologies. Innovation is highly valued here.

Cons

There has been questionable directions on the investment on the cell phone baseband business (finally they decided to get rid of it). The whole company is dragged down even when all the other BUs are doing quite well.
