Good company, bad DTV business division

Broadcom is good to work for in established business divisions which are #1 in their markets (e.g. wireless).

Cons

New business divisions with small market share should be avoided (e.g. DTV) unless you like very long working hours including weekends.

Compensation is pretty good. Everyone gets good amount of bonus through RSU and ESPP plan. Information sharing is also well maintained.

Cons

Too little vacation days. While yearly compensation is good, base salary itself is relatively low.
