Pros

Huge company with different teams and projects. Really depends on the team you are working in

Cons

Some people are not able to do their work and were promoted just because of loyalty (Stay with the company for a long time). People who try to be a friend with managers are more valuable in the company than people who do the real job.

Pros

Engineers were good and capable. Pay was O.K. Goof Stock options if your division lasts long enough

Cons

The CEO is extremely greedy and ruthless. Company organized to squeeze employees not reward them for good work. Too much outsourcing of the work to China and India results in almost 16 to 18 hours of work per day for those working in Silicon Valley.

Pros

None since we were quickly divested. Although I did have some CA stock that paid out well...

Cons

I was part of the CA acquisition and subsequent divestiture of services to HCL. We signed an agreement that would pay a bonus of 2 weeks for every month until we completed the divestiture. The closing of CA was November 5th and the divestiture was December 31st short of 2 full months so Broadcom only paid out the 2 weeks of bonus. Worst acquisition ever!
